State and local programs we checked for Minnesota residents, plus the national funds that also accept applications from here. This is a starting list, not every program: ask your local shelter, humane society or vet about others. Page last verified 2026-10-19.

Lower-cost clinic list
- What it offers
- The society's grant page lists clinics offering lower pricing, some with payment plans, and notes that Mission Animal Hospital and Access Veterinary Care have weekend and evening hours. A University of Minnesota page (vetouch.umn.edu/other-services, read 2026-10-19) describes Mission Animal Hospital as a non-profit clinic with two-tier pricing and Animal Humane Society Vet Centers as offering low-cost wellness, spay/neuter and some surgeries for qualifying families, by appointment.
- Who qualifies (as stated)
- Varies by clinic; call ahead.
- Limits and exclusions
- A list from third parties, not a program; we did not read each clinic's own site (Animal Humane Society's site blocked automated reading).

National funds worth checking too: see all assistance programs. Many local funds only pay for care that has not yet been paid and exclude routine care; read each exclusions line. Not veterinary, legal or financial advice; a listing is not a promise of help.
